Mask Primero Day 3

I added another layer of paper mache. The mixture seemed thinner although I think the ratio of flour to water was actually greater than the first day. I filled in the sunken area around the nose and widened the nose area a bit to support a Bauta style mask.

The mixture seemed thin so I will have to see if that affected this layer. Also, I forgot to add salt to the mixture to prevent mold growth.

Mask Primero

I've started making a paper mache mask using some tutorials I found online.

First, I used aluminum foil to make a rough mask of someone's face.

Next, I coated the foil with school glue to add rigidity.

After that, I coated what I had with a layer of flour and water based paper mache.
